Chellie Mitchelle brings over 30 years of marketing, communications and theatre experience to Axiom Repertory. She currently is the General Manager and talent for Mix 101 and shares her experience and talent to promote theatre in the north state.
Tracy has been a mainstay of the Redding theatrical community for many years and is well known to any and all as a master behind the scenes. She has held a wide variety of theatre positions including production manager, props and costume mistress, house manager, stage manager and just about everything else in between. She brings vast experience to our company, and we are proud and honored to have her as a member of our Board and theatrical community!
Roni’s entire life has been punctuated with some form of dance, from taking tap and ballet lessons at the age of 4 to owning a dance studio with over 200 students. While earning her secondary teaching credential in Physical Education and English at Azusa Pacific University, she continued to teach and study dance in any capacity she could. In 1992, Roni was hired to teach dance at West Valley High School, and she also started the Cottonwood Community Dance Program. Since then, she created the Studio 8 Dance Company and has had the fantastic experience of creating choreography for over 25 musicals and dance productions, including "Guys and Dolls," and ART's productions of "Cabaret" and "Into the Woods."
Pete Bilton has been a member of the theatre community for the past 20 years. He worked with Morpheus lights as an engineer and rigger for many years traveling the country with notable rock bands and then started his own company doing lighting in the north state. Pete has worked with The Cascade, Shasta College, The State theatre and with SSCYA. Pete brings his lighting and theatre expertise as a board member and resident lighting designer to Axiom.
Tim Nascimento serves as the CFO for Axiom and has brought his love for theatre and his expertise in the world of finance to the organization. He has participated in Axiom as a sound operator and has expertise in set construction as well. Tim brings a balance to the group with his love for numbers and theatre.
Brandon is active on both sides of the curtain and brings years of management expertise, talent and dedication to Axiom Repertory Theatre. By day Brandon is a wonderful case manager for a local support agency. By night she manages the house for Axiom productions. She is a major supporter of her daughter who also participates in Axiom theatre and in her school productions that Brandon works with as well.
Our staff is a collection of talented and dedicated professionals who combine a love of theatre with a desire to provide performers and the community with the highest theatrical and musical theatre standards and experience. Lisa Collins is an actor, singer, producer, playwright, and filmmaker who has worked on hundreds of projects in theater, film and entertainment. She has appeared in North State theatre productions with the Cascade Theatre, Harris Studios, Shasta College, The Riverfront Playhouse, Artesan Dance Company, and is owner/producer of Keyhole Mystery Theatre – along with her husband, Bill Collins. Before moving from the San Francisco Bay Area to Redding in 2002, Lisa sang with the vocal group "Three Sheets to the Wind," was a founding member of The Mayflower Community Chorus, and founded the Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival. She was dubbed "The Den Mother of Doo Wop" by the San Francisco Chronicle, and is a recipient of the "A Cappella Legend" award and "Friend of Marin Arts Award." Lisa also currently offers intensive acting classes in Redding featuring exercises developed by Uta Hagen.
Nancy Dutton has been an arts educator for over 30 years and has taught music, dance and drama for all ages (K-college!) She holds a Music Education degree from CSU/Chico; currently, she is the Artistic Director of the South Shasta County Children's Chorus and is also a lead director for SSCYA.org. Nancy also has significant experience in technical theatre in costume design, makeup design and properties design and execution. She currently teaches choral studies at both Anderson Union High School and West Valley High School; she also is the Choral Director at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Redding.
Ken Hill (M.A./Theatre, Directing--San Francisco State University) is a 40 year veteran of the Theatre and brings a vast degree of experience to the stage. Ken has taught and directed all ages and levels of theatre; as an educator, Ken strongly believes in the process and method of learning all phases and areas of the art form. He is known as "an actor's director," and succeeds in helping others find their own art, artistry and expression "on the boards." He is excited to serve as Axiom's resident Artistic Director and looks forward to great and wonderful things in the days and years to come.
